Hornady Frontier M193 5.56 Nato 55gr FMJ Ammo - FR200

I’ve tested over 10 factory loads in my two ARs chambered in 5.56x45 (one 10.5” and one 16”). Grain weights ranging from 45 to 77. Bullet types include FMJ, SMK BTHP, varmint HP, M855, Sabre BT etc. Out of them all, these shoot the second most consistent and tightest at 100yds (3/4” groups) in both rifles right behind the 75gr Black Tip. They’re also the fastest averaging 2750 in my 10.5” and 3050 in my 16”. Rested, I can consistently hit a 2” gong at 150 yards. Haven’t shot past 250. Out of several hundred rounds of these 55gr, I’ve yet to have feeding or extraction issues with and without a can. These Hornady M193 55gr FMJ have become my favorite round for range training and stocking. Best prices are also always found on FSA!
